Coach McKenzie is a Newport News native, Menchville High School graduate, and swam competitively for 11 years with Typhoon Aquatics and Coast Gaurd Blue Dolphins. She earned a BS in Kinesiology from Longwood University before spending 7 years teaching in NNPS. McKenzie has extensive coaching experience with Menchville, CGBD, and WYCC and is a certified strength trainer. She enjoys cycling, hiking, and camping with her husband, children, and their dog.
Coach Caitlin is currently a senior at Menchville High School. She began swimming at age four with the Colony Cudas and has been a member of the Coast Guard Blue Dolphins for the past 11 years. She loves working with kids and helping them discover why swimming is such an amazing sport.
Coach Elly has been a member of the Sea Turtles since she was 6 years old and is excited to return this summer as a Junior Coach. With nine years of year‑round swimming experience and certification as a YMCA swim instructor, she brings both skill and energy to the pool deck. Elly loves helping younger swimmers build confidence while having fun in the water. She’s looking forward to another fantastic Sea Turtle summer filled with learning, laughter, and team spirit!
