- Serve as a liaison between the swim team committee and the WYCC Board
- Provide leadership, engage, and communicate with the committee, coaches, swimmers, and families pre-season and during the swim season
GPSA Representative(s):

- Maintain knowledge of GPSA rules and ensure swim meets are run in a fair and equitable manner
- Attend GPSA meetings and relay information to WYCC Swim Committee
- Maintain best records, team records and pool records
- Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure all volunteer positions are filled for swim meets
- Coordinate with the Ribbons and Awards Volunteer to ensure that ribbons and awards are ordered and presented.
Secretary:

- Responsible for maintaining effective team documents to include registration forms and team handbook
- Prepare meeting minutes and take meeting notes; organize team calendar and provide team correspondences via email and/or flyers
- Organize team pictures with a photographer agreed upon as a committee
- Coordinate with the Spirit Events volunteer to organize dates and locations and ensure supporters receive recognition from the WYCC Swim Team
Treasurer:

- Manage or oversee the management of the financial affairs of the organization, often including such basic tasks as selecting a bank, reconciling bank statements, and managing cash flow
- Coordinate with the person volunteering for Spirit Wear to oversee the cash flow and inventory
- Coordinate with the person volunteering for the Silent Auction to secure donations and oversee ticket sales
Swim Team Sub Committees
Volunteer Coordinator: Donni Brumback
This person(s) will coordinate with the GPSA Rep, the volunteers and officials at the various home and away meets throughout the season via Swimtopia. As well as being the on-deck point of contact for the official jobs required by GPSA such as S&T judges, timers, ribbon writers, and runners, etc. This person will need to create sign ups and monitor each family's volunteer shifts to ensure that each family volunteers and meets their obligations.
Sponsorship Coordinator: Paula Caggiano
This person will coordinate with the committee to provide club members information regarding sponsorship opportunities. They will serve as the liaison between sponsors and the committee.
Awards: Joy Hudspath
This person is responsible for the inventory, the ordering and the organization of the ribbons throughout the swim season. This person is also responsible for ordering awards and/or trophies that will be handed out at the end of season banquet for seniors and coaches. This person will coordinate with the Senior Support volunteer to plan senior awards and the Banquet volunteer to ensure awards are prepared for the end of the season.
Spirit Wear: Cheryl Wilson
The person is responsible for selecting, ordering, and distributing team apparel for the WYCC Sea Turtles. This includes working with vendors, managing orders, and ensuring families receive their gear on time. It’s a fun and creative role that's perfect for someone organized and excited to help build team spirit!
Goodie Bags: Casey Jones
The person(s) is responsible for gathering donations or purchasing small items to create fun, motivational goody bags for our swimmers. This includes assembling and organizing the bags, then setting them up for distribution the night before our first team meet. It's a simple but meaningful role that helps kick off the season with Sea Turtle spirit!
Spirit Events: Lauren Adams and Kate Henderson
Spirit evenings, breakfasts, craft activities, and more will be scheduled throughout the swim team season! The spirit events person(s) are responsible for coordinating sign-ups, gathering supplies, ordering food for delivery for after select meets, and overseeing setup to ensure fun, smooth events for swimmers. It’s a fun, flexible role perfect for someone who enjoys bringing people together and creating great team memories!
Senior Support: Nicole McGowan
This person is responsible for planning and organizing Senior Night, purchasing thoughtful senior gifts, and celebrating our graduating Sea Turtles. This role helps make our seniors feel appreciated and honored as they wrap up their final season. It's a heartfelt and meaningful way to contribute to the team!
Team Banquet: Jessica Godfrey
This person(s) plans, organizes, and decorates for the end-of-year banquet, celebrating the success and accomplishments of the season. This role involves coordinating food, decorations, and activities to create a memorable evening for all swimmers and families. It's a fun, creative opportunity to wrap up the season in style!
